Planning a water route just got easier and more convenient with new Geonav® MapMaster™ PC Navigation Software powered by Fugawi. 

Announced at the Genoa Boat Show, MapMaster software provides a platform for personal computers to easily import or create routes and waypoints, as well as download raster and vector charts for a complete navigation or planning system.

The MapMaster application allows for route planning at home or on the water and is compatible with many popular electronic charts currently on the market, including Navionicsâ, NV.Digital and Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) charts, to name a few. 

Some of the key functions of the Geonav MapMaster PC Navigation Software include the ability to:

• Easily create and edit routes and waypoints with a few simple mouse clicks
• Transfer routes and waypoints between a wide variety of GPS chart plotters
• Support an NMEA autopilot
• Print maps at selected scale of choice
• Select from north-up, map-up or course-up views
• Link digital photos, videos and sounds to the map
• Display latitude/longitude, UTM or other region specific gridlines
• Download and import Google™ Earth maps using free plug-in
• Plot AIS positions directly to a chart (AIS receiver required)
• Plot and animate GRIB file weather forecasts
